A CONFERENCE FOR 14-19s ON CAREERS IN THE MEDIA INDUSTRIES

Up-and-coming journalists, animators, television and radio enthusiasts need to book their tickets now for VISION MIX, the second highly-acclaimed media careers conference organised especially for 14-19s in South Yorkshire, on THURSDAY 30 JUNE 2005.

The conference is jointly organised by Norton College and Showcomotion and takes place at the Showroom Cinema, Sheffield.

Last year's conference sold out so you are advised to book early.

STAY IN FOCUS!

Students can select sessions and masterclasses when they register. There will be workshops and masterclasses about getting a job in the media, working in radio and print journalism, animation, technical crafts in television, job opportunities in the games industry through to starting your own media business.

Screen Yorkshire will be providing information on creating a CV and getting work experience in this competitive industry on the day.

Students can talk to people one-to-one at the industry stands covering a wide range of local media organisations and employers, training providers and educational establishments.

Students can find out about the opportunities available, the qualifications, skills and the training you might need to make it in the media world.

Getting Creative! Sessions on animation and games design with Sheffield artists and production companies.

Technical Crafts: freelance speakers talk about working in cinematography and sound design.

Inside Reality TV with Nigel Hall (X Factor Series Producer) and Gavin Henderson (Producer of The Games) on life behind the scenes of reality television production.
